About Sebastian Mader & The Archive

The Archive Identity

The Sebastian Mader Archive is the definitive repository for the photography of Sebastian Mader. Operating as a direct-to-collector entity, the Archive manages the production and preservation of limited Studio Editions, ensuring transparency and a permanent link between the artist and the collector.

The Archival Standard & Longevity

Reflecting a commitment to material excellence, the Studio has transitioned from legacy chemical processes to a definitive archival pigment standard. Current Studio Editions are produced on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta, a museum-grade substrate. When paired with archival pigment methods, these works offer a verified longevity of 100+ years, meeting the rigorous preservation requirements of international institutions and private collections.

The Collections

The Archive is the definitive home for the Flamingo Kids series, a fourteen-year project documenting a distinct visual narrative through a fashion-inspired lens. Alongside current series such as Stasis, these works represent the shift from early-career commercial work to a premium, artist-controlled fine art practice. Each edition is hand-signed and numbered by the artist.

Commercial Portfolio

Based in New York, Sebastian Mader continues to work on global assignments and editorial commissions. While this Archive is dedicated exclusively to fine art acquisitions and archival preservation, his commercial and editorial portfolio can be viewed at sebastianmader.com.
