Acquisition Terms

1. Intellectual Property & Copyright All imagery, text, and archival data on this site are the sole intellectual property of Sebastian Mader. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, or exploit any portion of the Works without express written permission from the Studio. Acquisition of a physical work does not constitute a transfer of copyright or reproduction rights.

2. Edition Integrity & Scarcity To preserve the scarcity and long-term value of the Sebastian Mader archive, we maintain strict edition controls.

  • Edition Integrity Clause: In the event of a valid damage claim, the Studio requires documented proof of the destruction of the damaged work, or its physical return to the Studio, prior to the issuance of a replacement. This ensures the total number of physical works in existence never exceeds the stated edition limit.

  • Tiered Pricing: Prices are subject to change without notice. As an edition reaches scarcity milestones, the price for the remaining works will increase to reflect market value.

3. Passing of Risk & Environmental Liability The Studio takes extraordinary care in the archival production and crating of your work.

  • Passing of Risk: Risk of loss and title to the Work pass to the Collector upon delivery to the carrier.

  • Environmental Responsibility: The Studio is not liable for damages resulting from improper handling, professional framing errors, or environmental exposure (such as direct UV light, extreme humidity, or temperature fluctuations) once the Work has been successfully delivered.

4. International Acquisitions (DDU) All international works are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid).

  • Import Responsibilities: The Collector is the "Importer of Record" and is solely responsible for all local customs duties, VAT, and import taxes.

  • Refusal of Shipment: Refusal of a shipment due to customs fees does not constitute grounds for a refund or return.

5. Final Sale Policy Because each Work is a custom-produced, hand-signed, and numbered archival object, all sales are final. We do not offer returns or exchanges. Collectors are advised to review all "Sheet vs. Image" dimensions provided on the product page prior to acquisition.

6. Provenance & Certification Every work is accompanied by an artist-signed Certificate of Authenticity. This document serves as the official provenance record. The Studio recommends storing your certificate in a secure location separate from the artwork.

7. Collector Integrity We reserve the right to refuse any order. In our sole discretion, we may limit or cancel quantities purchased per collector or household. We reserve the right to prohibit orders that, in our judgment, appear to be placed by unauthorized dealers attempting to "flip" editions or compromise the primary market.

8. Governing Law These Acquisition Terms and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
