Suspended in the hazy endlessness of a mid-century summer, Flamingo Kids captures a cinematic tableau of youth and leisure. Drawing inspiration from the vivid, saturated palettes of the 1960s, Mader explores the voyeuristic intimacy of a shared vacation—where mysteries remain intact and every glance is a narrative in waiting.
As part of a definitive five-part series, this work captures friends caught in a joyous moment of shared warmth. In the image’s fashion-inspired portrayal of characters lounging together, their stories unfold for the viewer to determine. This work is now released in its final archival form as a Limited Studio Edition.
